Meet

Veronica Boucher

Founded by artist Veronica Boucher, the brand carries her own name as a reflection of a practice that is deeply personal and rooted in lived experience. Shaped in part by growing up with Single Sided Deafness, her work explores the beauty of subtle imperfections and the details that often go unnoticed. Each piece encourages viewers to slow down, look more closely, and consider how perspective can transform the way we see the world.

Every original work begins through a meticulous, hands on process inspired by the centuries old technique of cloisonné. Fine wires are carefully arranged by hand or intricate designs are printed directly onto canvas before each section is filled with layers of resin, creating luminous surfaces that catch and reflect light while preserving rich dimensional texture. Hidden flaws are intentionally embedded within every piece, serving as quiet reminders that individuality and imperfection are inseparable. Alongside her original works, Veronica also creates prints, suncatchers, and hanging pieces that translate her distinctive visual language into playful, collectible forms.

Created from a well loved coffee table transformed into an everyday studio, every piece is designed, assembled, and finished by Veronica herself, often with a supportive cat close by. Whether through shimmering resin, unexpected subjects, or carefully concealed details, the work reflects a thoughtful balance of craftsmanship, curiosity, and authenticity. Each piece invites a second look, revealing that what first appears imperfect often holds the greatest beauty.

Why Bloom?

”I was actually on Wickenden St with my friend one day and we happened to come into Shop Bloom on the second day you all were opened! I loved the vibe and Axel (store manager) was super nice and was telling us about the rotating vendors and I immediately knew I wanted to have a residency here at some point in time, so when I saw the spring residency was open I immediately applied and am so grateful to be coming in!”

Fun Fact

Veronica won a first place award in the World Art Awards last year. Favorite creative fuel includes iced coffee, tacos from Bajas, and the occasional well deserved nap.
