Marketing Manager
Part-Time Marketing Manager Role- Shop Bloom PVD
We’re looking for a part-time social media + marketing manager to join us at Shop Bloom PVD in Providence, RI.
This role will begin with a trial period of approximately 10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a 20-30 hour role based on performance and fit. The position is primarily in-person, and availability on Saturdays (at least partially) is preferred.
Shop Bloom PVD is a small business hub and retail space in Providence, bringing together a rotating group of independent brands, artists, and vintage dealers under one roof. The shop is designed to feel layered, ever-changing, and community-driven, and a huge part of what we do is helping small businesses show up in a bigger way.
Because of that, storytelling is everything for us.
We’re looking for someone who can capture the energy of the space and translate it into content that feels natural, engaging, and reflective of the people behind the products. This role isn’t just about posting, it’s about noticing moments, highlighting details, and helping tell the story of the shop and the vendors within it.
What this role looks like day-to-day:
This is a flexible, hands-on role where responsibilities may shift depending on the day or what the shop needs.
One day you might be:
filming and editing short-form video content in the shop
Another day:
writing captions, planning posts, or building out an email campaign
And another:
putting up posters around the neighborhood or helping get the word out about an upcoming event
At its core, the role is about consistently sharing Shop Bloom with the outside world and finding thoughtful, creative ways to bring people into the space.
What we’re looking for:
Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and similar platforms
Strong video editing skills (short-form, quick turnaround)
Someone who understands trends but doesn’t rely on them
Experience with email marketing (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
Comfort using AI tools to streamline workflow while still maintaining a strong, original creative voice
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and follow through
Comfortable being on camera when needed (for example: showing products, sharing quick updates, or helping bring content to life in a more personal way)
An understanding of basic marketing metrics (engagement, reach, conversion, etc.) and a curiosity around what’s working- both within our own content and across similar businesses.
Interest in (or experience with) e-commerce marketing is a plus, especially as we continue to grow our online shop and think about how digital and in-store experiences connect.
Most importantly:
We’re looking for someone who is observant, creative, and genuinely excited about small businesses. Someone who can walk into the shop, pick up on what’s special, and know how to share that with others.
Bonus if you:
Enjoy being in a retail environment and interacting with people
Have an eye for merchandising, styling, or visual storytelling
Are passionate about helping small business owners tell their stories and promote growing brands!
