There’s something instantly joyful about stepping into the world of Haus of Tiny. Tiny greenhouses with impossibly small watering cans, miniature craft rooms packed with details, sewing studios scaled down to fit in the palm of your hand. Every kit feels like a love letter to creativity itself, inviting people to slow down, build something carefully, and reconnect with the delight of making things by hand.

Founder Krystal Sekula has been creating miniatures for as long as she can remember. As a kid, if there was an opportunity to make a diorama, she was fully committed. What began as a lifelong fascination eventually grew into Haus of Tiny after conversations with friends encouraged her to expand the tiny rooms she had already been building and teaching through workshops. The name became a way to capture what the work truly represents: miniature reflections of the spaces, hobbies, and comforts that make life feel like home.

Every kit begins with an “aha” moment, when an entire room suddenly clicks into place in Krystal’s imagination. From there, she sketches rough layouts to scale and begins building prototypes using whatever materials are already tucked away in her overflowing craft room, scrap wood, beads, fabric, cardstock, paper, and found objects waiting for a second life. Much of the process revolves around sourcing the perfect tiny detail, whether that means discovering a charm small enough to become a greenhouse watering can or turning a bead and green paper into a miniature tomato pin cushion.

Once the prototype feels right, Krystal rebuilds each kit multiple times to refine laser cut files, create custom fabrics and printables, and write instructions that feel approachable even for complete beginners. Every material is portioned and hand packed individually, from the tiniest beads to carefully trimmed printed pieces. The final packaging process becomes part of the experience itself, designed to make opening the box feel just as magical as assembling the miniature world inside.

What makes Haus of Tiny especially personal is how closely each kit reflects Krystal’s own life and interests. The sewing room grew from her love of sewing. The greenhouse mirrors her passion for gardening. The craft room became a tiny version of the many hobbies she’s explored over the years. Throughout every scene are little hidden details included simply because they spark joy.

Most designs begin inside Krystal’s very pink craft room, surrounded by shelves of collected materials and machines constantly at work, including her laser cutter, Cricut, 3D printer, and regular printer. Once production begins, her kitchen table transforms into a miniature assembly line, often accompanied by episodes of One Piece playing in the background while boxes of tiny kits slowly come together by hand.
