Canarie creates accessories that feel bright, organic, and quietly unexpected, colorful resin pieces that preserve tiny fragments of the natural world inside polished, wearable forms. Butterfly wings, leaves, fruit, and delicate textures become suspended in translucent layers, transforming everyday natural elements into jewelry that feels both playful and refined.
Founder Melissa Stamp named the brand after two simple things she loves most: the color yellow and birds. While she doesn’t consider herself a dedicated bird watcher, she’s always been drawn to their songs, movement, and beauty. The name Canarie grew naturally from that appreciation, carrying the same sense of lightness and joy that runs throughout her work.
Melissa primarily creates earrings, carefully crafting each pair by hand using resin and preserved natural materials. Though the pieces are vibrant and expressive, there’s a thoughtful restraint to the designs that keeps them feeling polished and wearable. Her work often balances bold color with organic softness, allowing the natural forms embedded inside each piece to remain at the center.
One of the details that makes Canarie especially distinctive is Melissa’s love of asymmetry. Rather than creating perfectly mirrored pairs, she intentionally matches pieces that complement one another without being exact copies. Each earring set feels connected but independent, reflecting the irregular beauty found throughout nature itself.
Most of the work is created inside Melissa’s small home studio, a shared space with her husband that also functions as her remote work office during the day. Between meetings and responsibilities, she often slips away for short creative breaks, using those moments at her workbench as a small escape into focus and making. On quieter days, the studio becomes a place to fully settle in for hours at a time, surrounded by music, resin, and where works-in-progress slowly take shape.
