Bold, joyful stationery and lettering inspired by puns, pets, and everyday moments worth smiling about.
E.Dillon Makes grew out of a long history of creative side projects, each with its own name, identity, and short lived chapter. After cycling through enough of them to build a small business name graveyard, the realization hit: the constant in every project was Erika herself. Naming the brand E.Dillon Makes became the perfect fit, giving her space to follow her curiosity, evolve her work, and shift mediums without reinventing the entire identity each time. The “makes” says it all — she is always making something new.
E.Dillon Makes creates bold, fun, and slightly silly pieces designed to spark joy the moment you see them. Much of the work revolves around stationery and small paper goods, with themes that blend puns, plants, and the everyday antics of her three dogs and two cats. Everything begins as a loose sketch on her iPad before moving through rounds of refinement, color exploration, and lettering adjustments. Each piece is printed in small batches on her home printer, giving her full control over quality and allowing her to create exactly what she imagines. She also dreams of bringing some designs into the world of linocut printing, especially as bookmarks and art prints.
The brand is unmistakably Erika through its vibrant color palettes, playful illustrations, and the distinct letterforms that weave their way through every piece. Even when she experiments with new styles or techniques, there’s a consistent warmth and personality that makes her work instantly recognizable.
Right now, everything comes to life from the cozy comfort of her couch, iPad in hand and pets usually somewhere nearby. But excitement is building for her new studio — an attic renovation underway that will soon become a bright, open creative space filled with natural light and room to explore bigger ideas.
