Meet

Logan Morosini Heilman

There’s a strong emotional honesty running through LMH Artwork, moments of queer domestic life captured with warmth, humor, and deep familiarity. A partner sitting in soft afternoon light, cats dressed up at home, or other small gestures that would otherwise pass unnoticed. The work transforms ordinary moments into something lasting, intimate reflections on love, companionship, and tenderness woven into daily routines.

Artist and founder Logan Morosini Heilman first began painting seriously in high school while starting to look into college level art schools. One of the earliest subjects they painted was their grandfather’s orange cat, a piece that marked the beginning of a creative path their grandfather wholeheartedly encouraged. Although he passed away before Logan was accepted into their dream school, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, his belief in their work remained deeply formative. In honor of both him and their Italian heritage, Logan incorporated Morosini into their artist name, carrying that connection into every piece they create.

Though they work across many mediums, painting remains at the heart of the practice. Most works begin with photographs taken during everyday life, often featuring their partner, their cats, or quiet moments at home. Logan starts by sketching rough compositions onto an iPad before projecting the image onto canvas and building the painting layer by layer. The process allows real life to remain embedded in the final work, preserving both emotional immediacy and personal memory.

What makes LMH Artwork feel especially distinctive is its closeness to lived queer experience. The paintings are not imagined scenes but deeply personal observations pulled directly from the artist’s world. There’s tenderness in the way these moments are rendered, balancing softness, humor, and vulnerability without losing their authenticity.

For the first time, Logan now works from a studio room fully dedicated to their practice, attached to a covered porch overlooking the river. The space offers both solitude and inspiration, a place where personal life and creative work naturally blur together.
