Mara & Cait (& Theresa!)

Rolly Poly Studios is what happens when three creative sisters bring their talents together in one joyful, colorful, slightly goofy place. Based in Queens, NY, Mara, Caitlin, and Theresa each bring a unique magic to the table — from hand-built ceramics and painted pottery to illustrated stationery and playful product design. Their goal? To make functional art that feels happy, heartfelt, and full of personality.

Mara, the head ceramicist and designer, throws and sculpts the base forms. Caitlin helps hand-build and paint their signature faces and characters (and keeps their online shop humming), while Theresa brings their world to life through illustrated stationery and paper goods. Together, they make up the creative trio behind Rolly Poly Studiosa brand that’s all about bringing a little extra joy to the everyday.

Their work is often recognized for one key detail: the silly, sweet faces on their characters. Whether it's a mug, a bowl, or a sticker, every piece carries a bit of warmth and humor — the kind that makes you smile without even realizing it. Each item is thoughtfully made in their ceramics studio in Queens and has been showcased at beloved markets like MoCCAFest, Renegade Craft, and Anime NYC.
