Hand-sculpted glass jewelry with a playful, amorphous aesthetic that catches the light and captivates the eye.
SOOSH GLASS was inspired by a college nickname, "Soosh," which reflects the squishy, playful quality of the glass the artist loves to work with. The brand explores the optical illusions of glass, making it appear soft, bouncy, and flowing, even though it is rigid at room temperature. Each piece embodies that balance between playful illusion and technical precision, turning jewelry into miniature sculptures that feel alive.
The collection includes glass chains made from durable borosilicate glass and beads crafted from softer, low temperature glass. Many pieces feature tiny glass "dew drops" and details that accentuate the watery qualities of the material. Each item is unique, capturing movement and light while frozen in form, creating wearable art that is both functional and whimsical.
SOOSH GLASS is recognizable for its bright, poppy, Y2K inspired candy colors and its signature blobby, amorphous forms. Transparent glass dominates the collections, emphasizing clarity, depth, and the playful illusion of movement. The combination of color, shape, and texture makes every piece unmistakably the work of SOOSH GLASS.
All jewelry is created in a sunny, plant-filled studio, where a flameworking table, kiln, and ongoing experiments bring the artist’s ideas to life. The studio is a space for both meticulous work and creative exploration, allowing each piece to emerge fully formed and full of character.
