Moda Socks brings a fashion forward approach to an often overlooked essential, creating socks that feel equal parts functional and expressive. Rooted in the idea of “intentional fashion for intentional movement,” every design is created with care for the people wearing them, whether they’re headed to a workout class, running through the city, or simply building small rituals into their everyday routines.
The name Moda comes from the Italian word for style, a natural fit for the family behind the brand, who also operate several other Italian owned small businesses throughout Rhode Island. What began with grip socks quickly grew into something larger: a vision for elevated sock designs that could move seamlessly between activewear and daily life while still feeling distinctive and original.
Each collection starts with trend research, sketches, and color exploration before moving through rounds of mockups, embroidery templates, fabric sampling, and production development. While the final manufacturing is handled through a trusted production team, the creative direction remains deeply hands on from start to finish. Every detail, from texture to fit to color palette, is carefully considered before a design is released.
Moda Socks has become especially known for its original cable knit grip sock, a design developed entirely in house that has since become one of the brand’s signature bestsellers. Across every collection, the focus stays on creating pieces that feel elevated, wearable, and uniquely their own.
Based in Cranston, Rhode Island, the brand operates between a home office, a warehouse space filled with inventory and packaging supplies, and plenty of local coffee shops where many of the creative brainstorming sessions happen.
