Maximalist illustrations, playful characters, and bold color turned into objects that invite a closer look.
Meg Hunt Illustration is, quite simply, Meg’s own creative practice, built around a love of playful joy, humor, and visual storytelling. Their work is maximalist in nature, filled with engaging characters, unexpected details, and a sense of color that feels both nostalgic and entirely their own. What begins as illustration often finds its way into a growing collection of accessories, prints, wearables, and home goods.
Meg’s work is informed by mid century design and printmaking processes, translated into colorful objects that reward a second look. Their palette is bold and bright but never quite predictable, with slightly offkilter combinations that create a sense of surprise. Across different formats, pattern, character, and color remain the connecting threads, giving each piece the unmistakable feeling of a Meg Hunt illustration.
That sense of curiosity is part of what makes the work so inviting. Meg’s little apartment studio is filled with art and inspiration, but their creative practice isn’t tied to one particular place. Some days the work happens on a train, others on a balcony surrounded by plants, in a coffee shop, or tucked into a library. Wherever inspiration shows up, Meg follows it, creating work that feels joyful, quirky, and full of details worth slowing down for.

Why Bloom?
“I used to live in Portland, OR and loved being part of artist-focused shops there-- and after I moved to Providence was missing those opportunities! While walking downtown I stumbled on Shop Bloom and was really excited how they supported small brands and showcased them-- and I couldn't wait to be a part of it too.” - Meg
Fun Fact
All of Meg’s products are inspected for quality by a small excitable terrier named Laszlo. He gets paid his weight in treats :)
