Queerings pieces are all about charm, character, and a love of all things fun. The brand began in 2021, when designer Annie was studying graphic design at UMass Dartmouth and spending long hours at home during the pandemic. What started as a small obsession with handmade Shrinky Dink earrings quickly became a full creative practice and a way to make art for the queer community year round. Since then, Queerings has grown to over a thousand Etsy sales and has appeared at markets and pride events across New England.

Today, Queerings blends Annie’s digital artwork with thoughtful, sustainable production. Stickers, earrings, pins, and keychains are created using her illustrations and produced through small manufacturers that specialize in recycled materials, including 100 percent recycled acrylic charms. Other pieces, like her mushroom and potion bottle necklaces, are made entirely by hand in her studio. Everything is assembled, packaged, and finished with an emphasis on reducing waste wherever possible.

The brand’s signature is its unmistakable aesthetic. Queerings pieces are lighthearted, colorful, and designed to invite conversation and joy. Whether it is a charm necklace or a sticker, the work carries Annie’s playful sensibility and her commitment to making art that feels welcoming and accessible.

Why Bloom?

“I watched the Bloom storefront come together while working at a cafe next door, and a friend from the first cohort encouraged me to apply. Being part of a local, supportive community of small businesses felt like the right next step for Queerings, and Bloom offers a place where my work could connect with customers in person daily.” - Annie
