At first glance, Equals Me offers beautifully designed candles and room sprays, shimmer, scent, and warmth wrapped in sleek, modern packaging. But what truly sets Roanna’s work apart is the soul behind it: a story of healing, motherhood, and the desire to create safer, more intentional products that support wellbeing and celebrate uniqueness.
The journey began after the birth of Roanna’s first son, during a difficult season of postpartum depression. Seeking comfort through candlelight, she quickly discovered how many store-bought candles were made with harmful ingredients. What started as personal research became a deep dive into wax types, fragrance oils, and clean-burning alternatives. Eventually, it sparked something bigger: the desire to create her own non-toxic candles that were not only safe, but beautiful, and worth sharing with others.
Each Equals Me candle is handmade with a coconut soy wax blend, clean fragrance oils, and FSC-certified wooden wicks that crackle when lit. The vessels are created by Roanna herself, using hydrostone cement and natural pigments, so every container is one-of-a-kind. As the candle burns, ethically sourced mica and biodegradable glitter shimmer softly, a quiet, radiant reminder to pause and care for yourself.
Room sprays are also crafted with the same attention to clean ingredients and scent integrity, using a non-toxic, alcohol-free base and Roanna’s custom fragrance blends.
But Equals Me is more than a candle line, it’s a mission in motion. Inspired by her autistic son and rooted in Roanna’s family values, the brand exists to uplift others, advocate for the autism community, and encourage every person to see their uniqueness as a superpower. “Equals Me” is about being seen, being valued, and finding something that reflects who you are- loud, proud, and full of heart.
