Blue Pineapple was born from a move to New England and a desire to build meaningful connection through creativity. The name carries layered significance. Blue honors the coastal landscapes that inspire each design, while the pineapple draws from Newport’s long standing symbol of hospitality, representing welcome, warmth, and community. Together, the name reflects both place and purpose.

At its core, the collection centers on hand painted watercolor greeting cards and art prints that capture the charm and calm of coastal living. The work is light filled, approachable, and rooted in the simple joy of sending and receiving something thoughtful.

Each illustration begins as a watercolor painting created by hand. From there, designs are carefully translated into a growing line of paper goods and home accents, including greeting cards, calendars, tea towels, and art prints. The commitment to traditional watercolor remains constant across the collection, preserving the softness and organic texture that define the brand.

What makes Blue Pineapple unmistakable is its deep connection to coastal and nautical design. This influence is not simply stylistic but foundational to the creative voice behind the work. Soft ocean hues, breezy compositions, and a sense of New England charm run throughout the collection, creating pieces that feel both relaxed and thoughtfully composed.

Creation happens within a dedicated home studio and office space, where paintings come to life in a quiet, focused environment. It is a space shaped by natural light, reference materials, and the steady rhythm of brush to paper.
