ANTI STILL FLY was born from a lifelong love of fashion and a deep connection to self expression through clothing. Growing up, Nicole spent time as a child digging through familial closets, trying on pieces, and experimenting with different looks long before they could properly fit. That early curiosity evolved into a passion during high school and college, when thrifting opened the door to a new way of engaging with fashion. Discovering secondhand clothing made it possible to explore different styles freely, while also learning about the history, construction, and story behind each piece.

The name reflects both a mindset and a mission: “ANTI” speaks to a rejection of fast fashion and mass consumerism, while “STILL FLY” holds onto the idea that style, confidence, and creativity do not have to be sacrificed in the process. Together, the name represents a balance between conscious consumption and self expression, proving that fashion can be both ethical and expressive.

At its core, the work is about curation. Each piece is sourced with intention, guided by a personal perspective and an evolving sense of style. The process goes beyond simply finding clothing, it involves research, learning, and a growing understanding of how garments are made. Details like tags, stitching, fabric, and construction help identify the era and quality of each piece, adding depth to the selection process. Every item is chosen not only for how it looks, but for how it might live within someone’s wardrobe.

What makes the brand feel unmistakable is the point of view behind it. Curation is deeply personal, shaped by individual taste, experiences, and growth over time. The pieces offered reflect that evolution, creating a collection that feels authentic and constantly in motion. The way a garment is seen, styled, and appreciated becomes part of its story, allowing each person to interpret it in their own way.

The work is created through movement and observation. Time is spent sourcing in thrift stores, yard sales, and estate sales, always searching for pieces that stand out. Inspiration comes from everyday life, from physical media like books and magazines to photography, film, and nature. Surrounding the space with these influences creates an environment where ideas can constantly evolve, shaping both the curation and the overall vision of the brand.
