Handmade jewelry as a love letter to girlhood, memory, and the softness of being shaped by others.

Lulu Louise is the jewelry project of Alina Pringle, sculpted, sentimental, and unmistakably personal. Each piece reflects the artist’s fascination with closeness: girls clinging to each other, twin-like forms smudged together, imperfect shapes that still belong. Her work feels like a memory, slightly distorted, deeply felt.
Every pendant is sculpted by hand from polymer clay, baked, and coated in resin for a smooth, glassy finish. They're paired with solid sterling silver chains and often accented with nostalgic or slightly off-kilter beads that bring a sense of familiarity. No two pendants are the same, and that’s part of the point. Alina's work embraces imperfection, echoing the complexity of family, sisterhood, and the messy beauty of growing up.

Alina’s process is deeply rooted in her visual language, dolls with too-dark lips, childhood relics, and the instinct to press things together to see if they match. Her palette leans soft but never sugary: muted pastels paired with deep, dramatic tones. There’s always a tension between innocence and edge.
She creates between her apartment and her studio in Providence. At home, she works at a desk overlooking a small flower garden; in the studio, the work takes shape on a rickety metal table surrounded by paintings and portraits. Lulu Louise began during the early days of the pandemic as a way to pass time, but it’s since grown into a body of work that holds deep emotional weight and quiet artistry.

Why Bloom?
“I was immediately drawn to Bloom because of the sense of community. Since graduating from RISD, I’ve been looking for a place in Providence where I can share my artistic side and connect with others who value sentimental, handmade work. Wickenden has always been my favorite street in the city, and I’m usually at Coffee Exchange down the block. The idea of walking past Bloom and spotting someone wearing one of my pieces feels really special to me.” - Alina, Lulu Louise
