Globally inspired fragrance blends designed to transport you through scent, memory, and place.
Latitude Home was born from six years of market research, experimentation, and a deep longing for the familiar. After moving from India to Rhode Island, there was a noticeable absence in the local fragrance landscape. Certain scents were missing, like the smell of tea steeping in the afternoon, the air just before monsoon rain after a long hot summer, and other layered aromas that hold memories.
What began as personal blending experiments quickly revealed something bigger. Conversations with people from all over the world living in Rhode Island uncovered a shared nostalgia for places left behind or once visited. Latitude Home began asking a simple question: what scent do you miss most? The answers became fragrances. Wild Atlantic Way captures the mossy, wet, oceanic air of Ireland. The Sicilian blends ripe citrus from sun soaked groves with herbs and sea salt. Each candle is rooted in memory and translated into scent.
Every product is made using 100 percent natural soy wax blended with carefully curated combinations of fragrance and essential oils. Many of the essential oils are sourced directly from small businesses in India, Thailand, and Italy, ensuring consistent quality and meaningful supply relationships. No scent comes straight from a bottle. Every blend is developed in house and remains in a testing phase for a minimum of four months before reaching shelves or pop ups.
Wooden wicks are a defining feature. After nearly a year of testing, North American cherry wood wicks sourced from FSC certified forests were chosen for their steady burn and gentle crackle. The sound mimics a small fireplace, adding warmth and atmosphere to a space. The wick is inserted after the wax begins to cool, eliminating the need for glue and allowing for a cleaner finish.
Beyond candles, the collection now includes reed diffusers, wax melts created with local students in mind who cannot burn candles in rentals, and hand rolled beeswax taper candles. Each product expands the idea of scent as both memory and experience.
What makes Latitude unmistakable is the complexity of the fragrances. Customers often say the scents do not smell like anything else on the market. The names themselves tell stories, inviting curiosity before the candle is even lit.
The brand began in a kitchen, where early experiments filled the air with layered notes and trial blends. It has since grown into a fully functioning studio in the basement of the family home, where shelves of oils, wax, and vessels line the space. It is equal parts laboratory and sanctuary, built slowly and intentionally over time.
